Back to the article list 2021 has been a really intense year for us. In this very demanding and difficult period, we have completed new projects, strengthened our market position and entered into new partnerships. Looking back at our activities, we have prepared a short summary of the last 12 months at Gniotpol Trailers.
On the Road to Continuous Development
We are at a decisive moment for the entire transport industry. The challenges of the modern world require a deeper look at ecological issues and the ever-increasing automation of every aspect of our lives. Decisions taken today will determine the fate of the Polish transport for decades to come – which is why it is so important to prepare accordingly.
An important highlight in 2021 was the work on a new strategy for our company, taking into consideration the nature of the changing industry and thus adapting new organisational structure of GT to it.
Direction: Intermodality
Stale obserwujemy zmiany zachodzące w branży, przewidując jej potrzeby i odpowiadając na nie z wyprzedzeniem. Nieprzerwanie od kilku lat GT daje się poznać jako pionier w dziedzinie transportu intermodalnego, którego znaczenie na drogach Europy stale rośnie. Rozwiązanie to pozwala firmom zaoszczędzić czas oraz pieniądze, a także ograniczyć ślad węglowy.
We are moving towards intermodality together with our partners XBond and SDG. The mutual exchange of ideas and technologies in cooperation based on the coopetition model allows us to change the face of transport on the basis of one of the most modern cooperation models, achievable only by entities with the appropriate business maturity.
The culmination of our commitment to the BDF sector was the IMS Intermodal Show organised by our company. This unusual event was not only an opportunity to present the effects of our work, but also a place for expert discussions on the future of the intermodal transport in Poland.
Solutions for the Future
The last few months at GT have also seen presentations of our latest solutions. The new products prepared by our team of specialists are based on innovative technologies for which we responsibly provide adequate legal protection. With the support of the Science and Technology Park in Opole, we obtained a patent for the “Split upper beam of a truck body subframe”.
We have also paid a great deal of attention to developing our existing projects, so that each of the transports performed can be fully intuitive and safe.
Without a doubt, GT’s most talked-about success in 2021 was our company’s participation in the “Silent Revolution” campaign initiated by Volvo Trucks. As part of this cooperation, we were the first Polish manufacturer to design and build an intermodal body for the Volvo FE Electric model. This is the first electric truck in our country which can already be seen on Polish roads.
Partnership
We would not be able have fully grow if it weren’t for the trust of our customers and partners – as exemplified by the many hand-overs made over the past 12 months.
The past year resulted in many new contracts, as well as the deepening of business relations with our long-term partners. Their projects provide an opportunity for continuous improvement – not only of our products, but also of our internal processes. We are glad that our efforts are visible and appreciated also outside the gates of Gniotpol Trailers. The end of 2021 was marked with an award from the State Agency for Enterprise Development in the competition “Best Programmes for the Development of Employee Initiatives”. This is acknowledgement of the work and full commitment of our entire team, and definitely a great success. Thank you for recognition of our work.
The new reality that we all had to face in 2020 had a significant impact on the past year 2021. It was a time of many challenges and trials, which we completed successfully. The company’s stable position and the possibility to develop further is the result of the wise work of many people and their commitment. We are optimistic about the upcoming months and the opportunities that will come with them. And although the market is only just beginning to get back on the track, thanks to our joint efforts we are on the right track.
