Transport companies are responsible for developing transport so that it best serves society. To be successful, they must cooperate – for example through coopetition.
Transport connects people – this idea has guided our industry since the beginning of its existence. As a family company, we know that these words translate into bonds built by our actions. It is thanks to cooperation with our partners, such as the BDF XBond system manufacturer, that we can successfully change the face of European transport.
Status quo of European transport
Road transport has been a support for the economy of the European continent for decades. Its constant development allows us to meet the challenges of the modern world. Thanks to it, we can secure a stable position of Poland and Europe on the world economic stage. Currently, our industry is on the threshold of a revolution – but it is still not ready to cross it. Although innovative technologies (such as electric cars or LNG-fueled engines) are becoming more and more popular, traditional vehicles still dominate on European roads.
The solutions that have been on the market for decades are not flexible enough to meet the expectations of modern society. For this reason, the transport industry cannot allow stagnation to continue. Our responsibility is to break the existing impasse through innovative products and technologies. We are not alone on this path.
Two companies, one vision, or what coopetition is
As a family company, Gniotpol Trailers knows that together we always achieve more. By cooperating with companies and institutions that share our point of view, we can initiate real changes on the European market. One of the ways to implement ambitious plans is the cooperation model that we have established with Xbond.

This modern form of partnership is based on the bond created between competitive companies operating in the same sector. In the “classic” view of the market, they would be mutual rivals, and their relationship would be based on trying to outdo each other. Coopetition assumes a completely different approach. Instead of competing, competitive companies exchange their experiences and competences in order to achieve planned goals together.
Being a pioneer in the transport industry, GT is fully committed to this model of cooperation, unusual for our market. We believe that in this way we are building a new quality in the world of transport, based on lasting and trusted relationships. One of them is undoubtedly coopetition with XBond, our German partner specializing in the BDF systems sector.
Open and ready for changes
From the beginning of its presence in the transport industry, Gniotpol Trailers was guided by the goal of designing and constructing vehicles perfectly suited to the needs of users. However, these may change over time, which is why we are constantly working to improve the technologies we use. In this process, we constantly listen to the opinions and suggestions of our customers and partners. We are aware that only by working together and supporting each other can we make transport better.
Coopetition and partnership perspective
We are connected with our German partners not only by joint activities on the transport technology market. Like Gniotpol Trailers, XBond is a family company whose values and ideals coincide with our perception of industry reality. Although they have been known under their current name for only a few years, they have been operating on the European market since 1981. Over its 40-year history, XBond (formerly Räckers) has built a reputation as a trusted manufacturer, basing it on constantly developed technical competences in the field of bodywork production.

Effects of GT and XBond coopetition
The cooperation of two family companies resulted in the creation of a product adapted to the transport requirements of modern Europe. The jointly developed curtain swap body combines proven solutions from the past with modern technologies of the future.
When developing the product, Gniotpol Trailers used its over 30 years of experience gained in the production of light trailers, semi-trailers and bodies. Thanks to it, the designers from the GT team developed, among others: elements of the supporting structure of the body, while the knowledge and know-how of our partners from XBond, supported by 4 decades of presence on the market, were also crucial in the implementation of the project. The solutions used by the German company include the method of gluing body structures patented by XBond.
On the way to changes in the transport industry
The coopetition of Gniotpol Trailers and XBond is an important step towards changes in European intermodal transport. In a world dominated by tractor-trailer combinations, our product is the choice for companies that want to break away from the past. The lightweight construction of BDF sets pave a new path for transport on the Old Continent.

Taking this route not only allows you to save significant amounts of money on operating costs. It is also a way to reduce the harmful effects of road transport on the environment and society. And although the process of introducing changes to market trends is long-lasting, thanks to joint work, they are within reach.
