GT Trailers among the best-managed private companies in Poland!

Originating from Canada, the consulting firm Deloitte has spent 30 years across 45 countries meticulously and methodically examining private companies, verifying their approach to doing business. The goal of the BMC program is to promote best practices in the management of private and family-owned companies. A distinguishing feature of this program is that it is not dominated by financial performance indicators, but rather by an objective assessment of strategy and verification of its implementation. Important indicators also include a clearly defined mission and vision of the company, as well as a stably built organizational culture. Innovation, company resources, ownership supervision, and cash flow management are also examined. The program’s formula involves several months of work during which the above indicators are analyzed, with an emphasis on the practical dimension in relation to the best-managed private enterprises in the world.

The management strategy is based on scenario variants, as the experience of recent years shows that this path is the safest for the company. After that, it is only a matter of consistency in their execution, and in this case, I rely very heavily on cooperation with the management team. This aforementioned cooperation is, by the way, part of the history of the GT succession, because our succession is not just a simple generational change, but also the successful selection of external managers and the joint setting of development directions. – says Agata Duliniec, CEO of GT Trailers.

Before the evening gala, there was also a conference featuring a series of interesting panels dedicated to issues such as organizational culture, climate and energy transformation, and ownership supervision. A guest on one of the discussion panels was Agata Duliniec, who shared her experiences in the process of establishing a Family Foundation. According to the CEO of GT Trailers, this is an ideal solution for founders who want to treat their children fairly, and the Family Foundation provides an excellent environment for this. At the same time, she emphasized the necessity of choosing the right partner in this process. In our company’s case, we decided to work with Deloitte, which has experience in this area, including through its active participation in all stages of drafting the Family Foundation Act. 

In addition to this year’s Best Managed Companies winners, companies that successfully underwent recertification to retain their title for another year were also honored. As a company that constantly maintains and develops the standards it achieves, we will also make every effort to obtain recertification next year.
