Transport and logistics in the furniture industry
High-volume combinations remain the most popular choice among carriers across Europe. This proven and well-known design becomes a bespoke product for each of our clients when manufactured by GT. In today's article, we will present one of our latest releases – high-volume combinations prepared for the company Meble Łubnice.
Furniture transport
We have had many opportunities to prepare solutions dedicated to furniture transport – a perfect example of this are the specialized semi-trailers constructed by us for companies such as Hukla or Gutmann. Vehicles adapted to work in this industry require a high standard of protection to ensure the safe transport of products. This time, our project consists of classic high-volume combinations prepared for the company Meble Łubnice, which has been manufacturing upholstered furniture for nearly 30 years.
Aluminum high-volume combinations
In response to our client’s needs, the GT team prepared a high-volume combination consisting of a curtain-sided body and a trailer. To produce the tandem, we used aluminum elements – the front wall of the body, corner posts, and rack slats, among others, were made from this material.
Why did we choose this material? The aluminum used in the construction of trailers and bodies, especially anodized aluminum, is characterized by greater durability than traditional steel. This significantly extends the vehicle’s lifespan and allows its benefits to be enjoyed for many years. It is not an easy material to work with, but thanks to our proprietary, patented technologies, we successfully use it in many of the combinations we construct.

Loading the high-volume combination
The durability of the materials used is only half the battle. Another priority in preparing a high-volume combination is ensuring convenience for the driver operating the tandem. For this version, our client opted for a classic curtain-sided solution, allowing for easy loading of the vehicle. This is particularly important when transporting products that require great care – such as upholstered furniture.
Versatile transport solutions
Tailored to the needs of our client, this release is another example of bespoke solutions developed and constructed at GT plants. We approach every order individually, selecting the technology that will work best in a given situation.
